Helen Swafford Owner/ Funeral Director

I have owned Pikeville Funeral Home since 1995. It was my hope that by buying the funeral home I might be able to give not only the citizens of Bledsoe County a choice, but also give back to the community that has treated me so well over the last 40+ years. I was the State Farm agent here for over 25 years and have served on numerous boards and committees. I am a proud mother and grandmother. My children are Lynne Swafford and Phillip Swafford, I have 5 grandchildren; Christian Swafford, Nick Swafford, Anthony Emiren, Alexander Emiren, and Parker Swafford.

He is such an asset to have with our funeral home. He is an active member in his church Sequatchie Valley Church of Christ and serves as a deacon. He is married to Glenda Cagle and they have 2 children; Matt and Mark. They also have 4 grandchildren.

Edwin Farley Embalmer/Funeral Director

Edwin has been in the funeral industry for over 40 years. He serves as our Embalmer and when needed Funeral Director. He brings a wealth and knowledge that is second to none here in the valley. He is definitely an asset to this funeral home. He is married to Patty Farley who is a special needs instructor at BCHS.

Judy Swafford Attendant

Judy has worked for us for a little over 2 years now. She has worked in several fields; real estate, auctioneering, and now her empathy for others has brought her here. Judy served as Judge here in Bledsoe County and that is why occasionally you will hear others call her, Judge Judy. She is very active in her church; West End Church of God. Judy spends countless hours helping others and volunteer spirit is why she is such an asset at this funeral home.
