
Alice A. Nichols, age 81 of Pikeville, died April 1, 2020. Following a thirty-five year teaching career in Michigan, she retired to Walden Ridge and continued painting in watercolor and oils. One of her watercolors is in the Detroit Institute of Arts collection. Alice taught Bible Study for thirty years and contributed her time and talent to numerous charities.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents, Gerald and Elaine Smith Langford.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Dr. Donald Dean Nichols; sons, Kevin Nichols, Mich. and Tim Nichols, Chattanooga; sister, Bobette DeYoung, West Bloomfield, MI, adopted children; Dr. Elizabeth Adragna, Detroit, Emmy and Doreen Baguma, Dallas, TX, Vishnu Ramsamy, Dallas, and Yassine Smondel, St. Joe, MI.
A celebration of her life will be held in Tennessee and Michigan in the future. In her honor, donations can be made to Crosspointe Meadows Church, 29600 Meadowbrook Rd. Novi, MI.
