
Beckie Cunningham , 62, of Mansfield Ohio, died December 22, 2011 after a brief illness. She was an area homemaker for most of her life in the Mansfield area after being born to George W. and Viola Hale in Pikeville Tennessee on December 23, 1948. She married George 'œRed' Cunningham on March 20th, 1969 and moved to Ohio to start a new life and family. She was a member of the Hillside First Church of God and enjoyed reading, playing cards, knitting and writing poems, many of which were published in different periodicals. She also persevered in trying to obtain her GED proving truth to the adage that you are never to 'œold' to learn. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband George and her parents. She is survived by her four children Martha (Gary) Jones of Charleston SC, North Cunningham, Sarah (Richard) Campbell, and West Cunningham all of Mansfield OH., four grandchildren Debra, Sara, Taylor, Victoria, great-grandchild, Khy-Marion and special nephews, Timothy and Jeffrey Hale, four brothers Rufus (Shirley), Mart, George 'œJr', and Tom Hale all of Mansfield, OH., and a sister, Linda Hale of Pennsylvania and a half- sister, Virgie Frady of Crossville, TN., along with several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the funeral home chapel on Friday December 30 at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10-12 prior to service. Interment will be in the Beach Cemetery. Pikeville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
