Clarence Ernest Cope, III, age 61 of Spring City, died Monday, November 1, 2021. Clarence was of the Catholic faith, served in the United States Army, and then worked as finance manager with Ford Mercury. In his pastime, he enjoyed playing chess and was a Chess Master and also a published poet.
Preceding Clarence in death were his parents, Clarence Ernest Cope, Jr. and Nancy Joe Sullivan Foster; sister, Alsace Lorraine Tyler.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Madfen Cope, Texas; sister, Rebecca (Stephen) Cooke, Spring City, brother-in-law, William J. Tyler, Bledsoe County; nieces, Lauren Brooke (Jonathan) Slovik, and Brianna Nicole Allen (significant other, Kirkland Bice); nephew, Ian Michael Cooke.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
