Obituary for Dortha Lillian Kerley

Dortha Lillian Kerley, 87 of Pikeville passed away on Monday December 7th 2009. Dortha was a very unselfish, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved going to church. She went every time the doors would open. She was of the Church of God faith and a member of the Shady Vale Church of God. Dortha was preceded in death by her husband; Clifford Olin Kerley, son; Walter Kirk Kerley, daughter; Sharon Lillian Kerley, parents; Casto and Bessie Tollett, brothers; Mose, Leon, Carl, and Dee Tollett, sister; Mary Ruth Tollett, great-granddaughter; Lillian Raven Kerley. She is survived and will be sorely missed by her sons and daughters-in-law; Olin and Linda Kerley, Dewey and Wanda Kerley, Warren and Rachel Kerley all of Pikeville, and Joe and Cyndra Kerley of Charlottesville, VA., daughters and sons-in-law; Virginia and Mark Smith, Nan and Ralph Brown, Vivian and Bill Tollett, all of Pikeville, and Janet and Ronnie Parham, Charlottesville, VA., Grandchildren; Timothy (Leisha) Smith, Patti (Bill) Connelly, Michael Borwn, Eddie ( Michelle) Brown, Kirk (Teresa) Kerley, Keith (Donna) Kerley, George (Candace) Kerley, Dwayne (Debbie) Debord, Mike( Penny) Walker, John (Christina) Tollett, Jennifer (Blake) Greenhalgh, Kendall (Amy) Cross, Steven (Becky) London, Joey Kerley, Nikki (Jamie) Spence, Jeremiah Kerley, and Josiah Kerley, Great-Grandchildren; Alexandria and Rece Smith, Michael, Clifford, Summer, Dylan, Kendra, Austin, and Dillon Brown, Whitney, Mercedes, and Madison Kerley, Matthew and Tyler Debord, Michael and Ryan Walker, Cameran Tollett, Cooper Greenhalgh, Lexus, Celina, and Elijah Cross, Amelia and Ashley Campbell, Xavier Kerley, Jamison, Remington, and Rivers Spence, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home on Thursday December 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Lee and Rev. Marty Goins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Dortha will be laid to rest in the Tollett Cemetery.
