Obituary for James "Buddy" Harris

James Stanley “Buddy” Harris, 80 of Pikeville passed away on February 28, 2015.
He was a brick mason by trade. He loved to watch football and listen to the Edmons family play Bluegrass.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 27, 1934 to the late, George W. (Ethel) Harris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Harris, his aforementioned parents, and 2 granddaughters, Ashley Chastain and Lauren Elizabeth Harris.
Left behind to cherish “Buddy’s” life are his sons, Max Harris, Mitch (Sophie) Harris, and Mike Harris, daughters, Patsy (Tommy) Whittemore, Tina (Jeff) Chastain, step-sons, Ernest (Susan) Kilgore, Dennis Kilgore, and Doug (Mary) Kilgore, step-daughters, Stella (Cliff) Hale, Pat (Sammy) Mills, and Annette Kilgore, grandchildren, Casey (Greg) Wilson, Bailee Chastain and her fiancé Josh Barrett, Adam (Marsie) Whittemore, Angel (Jonathan) Funderburk, Jaime Whittemore, Jody (Dedra) Whittemore, Brett (Amanda) Whittemore, Cody Harris, Corey Szczepanik, and Michael Harris, and 20 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of “Buddy”s Life will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. CST (12:00 p.m. EST). The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. CST (6-8 p.m. EST) on Monday. Burial will be in the Blackburn Cemetery.
The family wants to express their gratitude to Erlanger Hospital with special thanks to nurses’ Kendra and Kris and Dr. Shome and Dr. Singh.
