Obituary for Mack Brown

Edward McCoy Brown, aka “Mack” 70 of Pikeville died peacefully on November 1, 2016. Mack as he was known by all was a lifelong farmer, hunter, and fisherman. He enjoyed and lived life to its fullest. He worked most of his life as a building contractor. Mack was of the Baptist faith and was a member and attended First Southern Baptist Church (FSBC) here in Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Clinton Paul and Mauvine Brown, and an infant brother; J. Lee Brown.
Left behind to cherish Mack’s memory are his wife of 24 years, Roberta Daschke Brown, children; Paul (Kim) Brown, both of Pikeville, Kim (Chris) Howard, Matthews, NC., Lisa (Rocky) Evans and Laurie Harris (Michael Music), both of Pikeville, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren (plus one on the way), a brother; Richard “Dick” (Judy) Brown, Pikeville, TN., 2 sisters; Faye Robertson, Crossville, TN., and Doris (Earl) Morgan, Pikeville, TN., several nieces and nephews and many special friends especially his “breakfast crew” at Scotties.
A Memorial Service celebrating Mack’s life will be held on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. CDT at FSBC with Rev. Jim Whitaker and Bro. Albert Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9 a.m. CDT.
