Obituary for Ricky Allen Seals

Ricky Allen Seals, 55, a lifelong resident of Pikeville, passed away on March 17, 2015. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church. Ricky was an Investigator with the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Department. He served his community for 37 years with the Pikeville City Police, the Pikeville Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Department. Ricky was an avid motorcyclist. He also enjoyed photography. He also enjoyed jeep riding. His favorite pastime was spent spending time with his family. He also worked with Angel’s Wrecker Service for many years. Ricky was a member of several organizations; he was a member of the I.A.A.I (International Association of Arson Investigators), Fraternal Order of Police, PBA (Policeman’s Benevolent Association), and the S.E.T.M.T.F (Southeast Tennessee Meth Task Force).
Ricky was preceded in death by his brother, Winfred Cline Seals.
Left behind to cherish Ricky’s memory are his son, Robert (Toshia) Seals, Las Vegas, NV., daughter, Ashley (John Paul) Thomas, Pikeville, TN., grandchildren, Johnathan Cline Thomas, Scarlet June Seals, and Colt Wayne Thomas, parents, Helen (Tommy) Johnson, Pikeville, TN., Winfred “Duck” (Mickey) Seals, Spring City, TN, sister, Sherry (John) Campbell, nephew, Brandon Smith, many extended family, friends, and the entire Pikeville Community. He was a true servant of the people and he will be missed by all those that knew him.
A Celebration of Ricky’s Life will be held on Sunday March 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cold Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Wilson and Bro. Ronny Colvard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-9 p.m. on Friday and all day Saturday. Burial will be in the Iron Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Swafford, Chris Troglin, Chris Holland, Angelo Oreto, Cody and Matt Lockhart, Daryl Angel, Ernest Seals, Ben Buckner, and Clay Holmes. Honorary Pallbearers will be all his brothers and sisters in uniform from various law enforcement agencies and fire departments.
