Obituary for Robert "Bittie" Angel

Robert Wade “Bittie” Angel, 77 passed away on August 9, 2016. He was of the Church of God faith.
Robert was avid reader who enjoyed spending time with family. In his early years he also enjoyed traveling.
Robert was in the restaurant business for several years, but ultimately he retired from the City of Pikeville where he worked in the sanitation department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Leonard and Nellie Angel, a brother; James Angel, a sister; Maxie Evans, and 9 half-brothers and sisters.
Left behind to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife of 54 years, Alberta Angel, son; Michael (Sunny) Angel, daughters; Cathy (Stanley) Reed, Sharon (Brad) Smith, and Michelle Angel, all of Pikeville, brother; Phillip (Barbara) Angel, Soddy Daisy, TN., sister; Vickie (Skip) Ball, Pikeville, grandchildren; Amber (Tommy) Brock, Wes (Starla) Angel, Amanda Campbell, Justin Reed, Dylan Angel, and Tyler Grant, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held Thursday August 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Leroy Forgey officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. CDT on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
