
Wendell Lee Brown, 61, longtime resident of Pikeville died on January 3, 2012 at his home after an extended illness. He was born March 15, 1950 to the late Marshall Brown and Leatha Brown Humble. Wendell was a member of the Lee Station Baptist Church. He was employed by both Dayton Products and Eclipse Manufacturing as a sheet metal manufacturer. Wendell enjoyed teaching his grandson and others the trade of beekeeping, mowing the grass, gardening, spending time with family and helping others. He was preceded in death by his sister, Angelea Crawford, Geraldine Nichols, and infant sister, Louise Brown. Wendell is survived and will be missed by his wife of 42 years, Linda Brown, children, Susan (Jerry) Blankenship, Spencer, TN., Dawn Machelle (Jeff) Baisley, Jasper, TN., and Rodney Brown of Chattanooga, TN., grandchildren, John and Abby Blankenship, brothers, Thomas (Betty) Brown, Rossville, GA., Ralph (Nan) Brown, Crossville, TN., Lawton (Sue) Brown, Smithville, TN., Edward (Corine) Brown and Richard (Ann) Brown, both of Pikeville TN., several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many dear friends. A Celebration of His Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday January 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Bro. Ray Skiles and Bro. Billy Wolfe. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday January 5, 2012. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
