
William 'œShorty' Farley, 78 of Pikeville passed away on Saturday November 24, 2012. Shorty as he was affectionately known was of the Church of God faith. He was a mainstay at Bledsoe Co. Nursing Home. If you ever visited the nursing home then you knew who Shorty was. Some of his favorite things to do were to play cards and checkers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Callie Mae Farley, 2 brothers, T.J. and Billy Ray Farley, 3 sisters, Viola Louallen, Anna Belle King, and Mary Elizabeth Gibbs, and 3 nephews, Chris Hall, James Louallen, and Jimmy Farley. Shorty is survived and will be missed by his brothers, Junior (Ellen) Farley, and James Farley, both of Pikeville, sister, Sara Ellen Hall, Dunlap, several nieces and nephews, and the staff at Bledsoe County Nursing Home. A Celebration of His Life will be held in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home on Monday November 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm CST with Rev. Andy Smith presiding. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Shorty's memory can be made to the Bledsoe County Nursing Home who cared for him so well the last 20 plus years.
