Wilma Joyce Freeman, age 76 of Pikeville, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her home. Joyce loved her family more than anything, enjoyed baking, and cooking, especially her Gumbo, and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Mora Baptist Church in Louisiana, and worked at Ferro, Johnson Control, and Dura for twenty years.
Preceding Joyce in death were her parents, Wilmer and Verma Bolton Cedars, brothers, Ronald and Donald Cedars; grandson, Steve Freeman.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Rebekah (Willard Stewart) Smith; sons, Sandy (Ginger) Freeman, Scott (Donna) Freeman; grandchildren, Stephen (Angela), Shayna, Zachary (Amy), Sara, Micayla (Cody), Corey (Katie); great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Luke, Teagan, Taelyn, Emma, Eli, Chesnee; great-great-grandson, Grayson; several nieces; nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 pm CDT Friday, April 16, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Matt Lockhart officiating. Burial will be in Rankin Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00pm CDT Thursday, April 15, 2021 and 12:00pm until service Friday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
