
Woodrow Blaylock, 64 of Pikeville died in an accidental house fire in the early morning hours of March 4, 2013. He was an avid hunter. Woodrow particularly enjoyed hunting squirrel and rabbit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Avis (Hankins) Blaylock, brother, Fred Monroe Blaylock, a sister, Ocie Mae Hunter, and nephews JR Conley and Scotty Blaylock. Left behind to cherish his memory are his brothers, James “Bud” Blaylock, Charles Blaylock, William Blaylock, and Lee Norman Smith, sisters, Lucille Boyd, Mildred Gilbert, Gladys Regan, Nannette Blankenship, Mary Watson, and Flossie Haston, nieces, Barbara Yearwood and Brenda Conley, nephews, Danny Conley, Wayne Conley, and David Gilbert, and several dear friends. A Celebration of Woodrow’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday March 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Rudy Oakes officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in the Blaylock Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Pikeville Funeral Home
