Obituary for Linda Louise Evans
Linda Louise Evans, 65 of Spencer, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2016.
Linda was preceded in death by parents, Verna Louise and Herbert D. Cordell; daughter, Geraldine Reece; sisters, Loraine Cordell and Lois Pendergrass; brothers, Larry and Landon “Punk” Cordell; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Loula Mae Cordell; maternal grandparents, Alex McCoy and Myrtle Simmons.
Left to cherish Linda’s memories is her husband of thirty-six years, Jimmy Evans; sisters, Layne (Earl) Knowles; Lucille (Bruce) Fields; Cindi (Jimmy) Walker, all of Pikeville; Loretta (Bill) Headlee, Dayton; Lisa (Charles) Ely, Deer Lodge; brothers, Loyd Cordell, Spencer and Lynn Cordell, Pikeville; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be 2:00 pm CDT Thursday, March 24 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Harold Cagle officiating. Burial will be in Lonewood Cemetery.
Receiving of friends will be 5-9 pm CDT Wednesday, March 23. Pallbearers will be B. J. Evans, Jimmy Knowles, Wesley Walker, Tim Pendergrass, and Donnie Pendergrass, and John Headlee. Honorary Pallbearers are Tony Cordell, Mason Walker, and David Pruitt.
