
Jim Daschke, 78 of Pikeville passed away on Friday September 26, 2008. Jim was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pikeville. He was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served his country admirably for 24 years during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After his retirement from the Marine Corps he worked as a security guard at various places such as Bledsoe County Hospital, Taft Youth Center, and Tecumseh. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife; Shirley Daschke, great-grandchild; Julia Pierce,parents; Gus and Ellen Viola Daschke and a sister; Shirley Egan. He is survived by his wife; Margaret, sons; Richard (Rumiko) Daschke, Shelby, NC., Thomas Daschke, Chattanooga, TN., and Jon (Barbara) Daschke, Pikeville, TN., daughters; Roberta (Mack) Brown, Lorna (Jim) Lee, Margaret (Steve) Thurman, all of Pikeville, and Laurie (Rick) Martillaro, Tempe, AZ., sister; Gloria (Alvin) Middleton, Caseyville, IL., grandchildren; James Wagner, Aaron Pierce, Jennifer Sutherland, Trilby Boerner, Steve, Jr., Chris, and Bill Thurman, Priscilla Cagle, Mary Ann Smith, Lisa Evans, Laurie Harris, Kim Howard,Paul Brown, Tony, Amanda, Tommy, Tina, and Matthew Daschke, great-grandchildren; Justin Macafee, Sheanna and Rebecca Bottoms, Cheyenne and Bethany Pierce, Jocalyn and Destiny Farmer, Cole and Payton Thurman, Diamond Kinary, Jacqueline Campbell, Trey Bailey, Warren Watson, Alyssah Walling, Amelia Evans, Shannon Harris, Colin, Connor, Creighton, Heidi, and Caroline Howard, Madison and August Daschke, Dalton Daschke, Alex Dickey, and Kaden Wargo-Daschke, great-great-grandchild; Trevor Bailey, step-grandchild, Daniel Kitts.
