Jessie Elizabeth McMahan, 80 of the Luminary community passed away on Friday May 14, 2010 in Sorrento, Louisiana. Jessie was a member of the Frostbite House of Prayer. She was preceded in death by her father, John Patterson; mother and step-father, Lena and James Cox; brother, Andy Patterson; sister, Margaret Patterson; and a grandchild, Alan Badgett. Jessie is survived by her sons, George, Gerald, Robert (Faye), and Michael (Sarah) McMahan, all of Pikeville, daughters, Glenda (Bill) Scarbrough, Sorrento, LA., and Sharon (Pete) Melancon, Crosby, TX., 22 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held in The Frostbite House of Prayer on Wednesday May 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Paul Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Pikeville Funeral Home.
