Robert J Sullivan, 68, of Alta Loma, California, died December 2, 2010 at 4pm, surrounded by family. He was born January 22, 1942, in Pikeville, Tennessee, the son of the late Obie J Sullivan & Aileen Juanita Carson-Winsett. He was the oldest son of eight siblings. He served in the U.S. Army as a radar technician in the early 1960'™s. After his discharge, he was a business owner in Los Angeles California. He married Carol Dawn Anderson in 1965 and had 3 children. Robert was preceded in death by his wife; Carol, son; Brian Douglas Sullivan, parents; Obie J Sullivan & Aileen Juanita Carson-Winsett, and sister; Jeanette McCann. He is survived by his son; Kevin Scott Sullivan, daughter; Pamela Dawn Sullivan-Kurtos, Grandchildren; Kaylea Sullivan, Eva & Zoe Kurtos, brothers; Hoyt Sullivan, Dennis Sullivan, Grady Sullivan, Jimmy Sullivan, Rex Sullivan, and Steve Moody. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday December 11, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. CST. The family will receive friends beginning at 8:00 a.m. CST until service time. Burial will take place in Rigsby Cemetery with full military honors provided by the local VFW Post 5033. A memorial service will be held in at a later date in California in January.
