
Obituary for Carol Pratt Colvard
Carol Colvard, age 67 of Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 13, 2016.
Carol was of the Christian faith and attended First Southern Baptist Church. She worked with the Bledsoe County Board of Education for 29 years.
Carol also loved reading, cross-stitching, embroidery, and painting.
Preceding Carol in death were her parents, Robert Desmond and Ruth Hunt Pratt.
Left to cherish Carol’s memories is her husband of forty-eight years, Ronnie Colvard; daughter, Amy Colvard, Cookeville; son, Thad (Tammy) Colvard, Pikeville; brothers, Raymond (Billie) Pratt, Crossville, and Paul (Patricia) Pratt, Athens; grandchildren, Aaron Keck, Trace and Addie Colvard; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Dibrell and his staff, Ruth Boynton, and home health, for their medical care during her time of sickness. Also, to Robin Best and Cynthia Oakes for their in-home-care during Carol’s later stages of life.
A graveside service will be 4:00 CDT Wednesday, June 15, at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Jim Whitaker and Thad Colvard will be officiating. The family will receive friends 12:00-3:30 pm CDT Wednesday, June 15 at Pikeville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wesley Chapel Church.
